FEEDING DIRECTIONS
FEEDING AND MANAGEMENT:
Introductory Period: Following a 7 to 10 day acclimation period, average consumption should be 1 to 2 pounds per head per day for mature cattle with untrestricted forage supplies. Position the blocks 50 to 75 feet from loafing, feeding and watering areas. Some repositioning of blocks may be necessary as animals become acclimated to the presence of the blocks. Move blocks closer to increase consumption; further away to decrease consumption. If overconsumption occurs for more than two weeks and repositioning of blocks does not correct the situation, remove blocks and evaluate the overall feeding program. DO NOT ALLOW STARVED ANIMALS FREE ACCESS TO THIS BLOCK.
Feeding Recommendations:
1. Feed 1 block per 10 to 20 head. All animals should have equal access to blocks. Timid and smaller animals need their share.
2. Place blocks where animals congregate. Locate blocks throughout the pasture at loafing, grazing, feeding and watering areas. Adequate distance must be maintained between blocks to minimize crowding - 10 feet minimum.
3. Feed blocks continuously along with a plentiful source of forage and clean, fresh water. Cattle should not run out of blocks. When a block is two-thirds consumed, provide a new block near it.
4. Cattle should consume 1 to 2 pounds per head daily based on a 1,000-pound animal.
5. Consumption of this block may vary depending upon animal body condition, quality and quantity of forages, seasonal weather conditions, and most importantly, feeding locations of blocks with respect to loafing, grazing, feeding and watering areas.
6. If additional mineral and vitamin fortification is desired, provide an appropriate SWEETLIX® free choice mineral supplement in addition to this supplement.
CAUTION: USE AS DIRECTED. Consumption of selenium should not exceed 3 mg per head daily.
WARNING: This product, which contains added copper, should not be fed to sheep or any species with a low tolerance to supplemental copper.

Purina® RangeLand®Protein Tub

RangeLand® Protein Tubs are a free choice supplement designed for beef cattle on forage diets providing less than 8% protein. The low moisture, cooked molasses products in biodegradable fiber or non-returnable plastic containers will enhance intake and utilization of available forages, while reducing labor for producers.

Features & Benefits
Low moisture cooked molasses product technologyConsistent intake and nutrient delivery that helps eliminate over-consumption

Positive associative effects when fed with low to medium quality foragesMolasses provides readily-available energy to stimulate rumen fermentation that helps the animal extract more energy from the forage, as demonstrated by research showing increased forage intake and utilization

Contains FDA approved animal protein productsProvides high quality by-pass proteins needed to optimize animal performance

Provides optimum levels of trace minerals at a 1 pound consumption rateSupports fertility, immune function, and overall health

Biodegradable fiber and plastic container optionsNon-returnable containers provide a labor saving supplement delivery system that helps reduce the biosecurity risks associated with returnable containers

No added saltIntake is not regulated by salt as in other supplements, which can be unpredictable and more variable

Supplement delivery method that fits a variety of production systemsConvenient supplement delivery system is ideal for small beef producers with other time commitments, as well as large producers who experience time and labor shortages

Availa®4Availa®4 aides in the improvement of reproductive performance for 1st and 2nd calf cows versus inorganic trace mineral sources

Aids the immune system of stressed cattle by rapidly replacing diminished trace mineral stores

Diamond V®Better palatability helps maintain consistent feed intake. Better feed digestibility helps make more nutrients available to the animal for absorption, performance, health and production.
